Thomas Brewer has been with Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy since it opened in 2013. He has taught math subjects from 7th grade math through Algebra II. He is currently teaching Geometry, Chemistry, Civics, and Economics. Mr. Brewer is also the Mathcounts Coach, leading the school team to several top 6 state finishes. He is also the sponsor of the Spartan Rubik's Cube Club. He has previously taught in Rogers, North Little Rock, and at Providence Classical Christian Academy. What started out for Mr. Brewer as a pursuit to be a Chemist, turned towards History his last year of college at the University of Arkansas, where in 2002 he received his Bachelor's of Arts in History. He pursued his teaching license through the Non-Traditional Teaching Licensure Program of the state of Arkansas for Secondary Mathematics and began his first teaching job back in 2004-05. Since then, he has received a Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and received several other areas of certification. Mr. Brewer is a Highly Qualified Teacher, in compliance with Arkansas Code, in 4 areas: History and the Social Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, and Secondary Mathematics. He has been married for 17 years to his wife Brook, and the two of them have 3 children, 2 of whom are old enough to joyfully attend Northwest Arkansas Classical Academy.
